Richard Doyle, pastor

1978 graduate of Bolivar High School, Richard graduated from Union
University in 1982 with a degree in Religion. He became our pastor
in 1997 and is now the longest tenured pastor in the history of
our church. He will tell you that his wife Denise is by his side
and fully supports his ministry. Our church was his first full-time
Richards first church as a pastor was Clover Creek Baptist
in Medon, Tenn. and he then moved to First Baptist-Pocahontas
before answering Gods call to move to Chewalla. He was ordained
to preach in 1981.
His focus as a pastor is to make disciples and help others follow
Jesus. He is proud to have led two major building programs during
his time at Chewalla. His prayers are that our church will continue
to grow and be a spiritual light to our community.
is married to the former Denise Garrett. They have two sons, Matt
(Rebecca) and Logan (Sara) and two daughters, Holly and Mary Kate.
Sarah Beth Barnes Dotson, children's director
Sarah Beth Dotson has deep roots in Chewalla Baptist Church with four generations of her family having served at CBC. Sarah Beth graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. She became our children's director in 2012. She is a fifth grade teacher at Ramer School. Sarah Beth has been very active in our church's music ministry her entire life. She has been a part of our ladies ensemble, adult choir musicals, and directed children's musicals.
Her infectious personality is a positive in her service to the Lord. She wants to instill in the children how important it is to love God and serve His church with a joyful heart. Our church is fortunate to have her as our children's director.
Sarah is married to Wes Dotson. He is a Sunday School teacher and dedicated servant as well. They have two children, Ben and Mina Raye.
Jeff and Amy became our youth ministry team after serving at another church in McNairy County. He began in the ministry at Mt. Gilead in 2002 and they served together at Grace Baptist beginning in 2005.
A couple with a desire to help young people grow as Christians, Amy and Jeff are dedicated to doing God's work while they are at Chewalla.
They hope to assist our young people in learning more about God's Word and the importance of being good Christian witnesses to their friends.
He graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson in 1997. Amy graduated from McNairy Central in 1998.
They were married in 2000. Jeff and Amy have two children, Lydia and Luke. They operate their own business, Southern Textiles, a clothing recycling business.
